2010 New Rules Information

YESAB has completed the revision of the Rules for Evaluations Conducted by Designated Offices (Rules). Notice of the new Rules has been published in the February 20, 2010 edition of the Canada Gazette for public review before they may be finalized and adopted by YESAB.

The Rules were initially developed by YESAB to guide how we conduct environmental and socio-economic assessments of projects. We committed to review their adequacy and efficiency after 2 years of operations. The new Rules reflect comments received during our review. All input was given full consideration and assisted YESAB in creating what we believe is a better process.

Below is information about the new Rules including; the process followed, the issues identified, changes made to the Rules, the new flow chart, the new Rules and contact information.  If you have any questions please call our head office at 867-668-6420.
