Recently, the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) published an Information Bulletin entitled Consideration of Cumulative Effects in YESAB Assessments. This Information Bulletin and Frequently Asked Questions describe how YESAB will fulfil its responsibilities under the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act (YESAA) to consider cumulative effects in the assessment process.

As part of this initiative, YESAB committed to seeking feedback on proposed criteria for determining activities “likely to be carried out”. Comments will be taken into account before finalizing the criteria. Once finalized the criteria will be included in the Consideration of Cumulative Effects in YESAB Assessments Information Bulletin.
