About 95% of assessments conducted by YESAB are at the Designated Office level. If you have a project that is large and/or complex in nature contact the Executive Committee to confirm that a screening is required.
Requests for project extensions can be done by contacting the Designated Office that is assessing the project or submitting a request to the project file on the YESAB Online Registry.

Generally a project that takes place in Yukon will require an assessment if a permit or authorization is required. Follow this link for more detail.
The length of time required for an assessment depends on the type of project and the amount of information provided in the project proposal. Proposals with inadequate information take longer as they may require information requests to be issued.
- The average Designated Office evaluation takes 42 days, after the project proposal has been deemed adequate by the Designated Office.
- The average Executive Committee screening takes six months to two years.
