Executive Committee Releases Adequacy Review Report for Casino Mine

Mar 5, 2015 | General, News

The Executive Committee has requested supplementary information from the Casino Mining Corporation. The main concerns highlighted in the report are related to the lack of information on the tailing management facility and dam, access road, traditional knowledge, closure and reclamation, and the LNG power plant. The Executive Committee will now wait for the Proponent to respond with the required information. A copy of the report can be found on the YESAB Online Registry by searching project number 2014-0002.

Casino Mining Corporation (CMC) proposes to construct, operate, decommission and remediate a copper, gold, silver and molybdenum mine. The Project will process approximately 120 000 tonnes of ore per day over a 22-year mine life. The Casino Mine would be the largest mine in Yukon history and one of the largest in Canada.
